Discover how patient data is making a difference to eye health research
On Thursday 13 June, INSIGHT is hosting a health data research showcase at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Patients, members of the public, and staff are invited to come along and find out firsthand how eye data - routinely collected when a patient has an eye scan - is helping to advance earlier detection, treatment and care of disease.
The showcase provides an opportunity to meet INSIGHT Director, Pearse Keane and INSIGHT Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Lead, Pratibha Veeramani, along with other members of the team. All will be available to answer questions and explain the role of patient data in research.
The showcase event is part of INSIGHT’s Data Saves Sight campaign at Moorfields, informing patients how their eye health data is routinely collected, and may be anonymised for use in research, excluding anyone who has chosen to opt out of sharing their health data for research under the National Data Opt-Out.
We welcome all to stop by, discover how eye health data is enabling research, ask questions.
When: Thursday 13 June, 11am - 3pm
Where: The exhibition space in the entrance corridor of Moorfields Eye Hospital at 167 City Road, London EC1V 2PD. The exhibition space is located in between the Friends of Moorfields health hub and Moorfields Eye Charity hub.
